• • • What some business institutions and manufacturers won’t do to make a few extra dollars isn’t worth mentioning. A Federal Judge in St. Louis fined Frank J. Baker, Mayor of Hermann, Missouri, who operates the Missouri Milk Products Company, $500.00 for selling dirty cheese. This cheese, however, was found to be contaminated with manure. The company sold 12,000 pounds to the Wilshire Cheese Products Company of Springfield, Missouri. It is reputed that the company does In excess of $200,000 annual business. Large amounts of filth were found in the milk that this company uses. Investigations by the Pure Food and Drug Administration found that 46% of the milk used for cheese contained filth when they inspected the place shortly after it opened. The company attorney stated that the company has moved into new quarters and now tests the milk daily. Hmmmmmmmm.% . Wonder if they sell anyof their products in the Alton area? ? ? ? ? ?
