Mrs. Josephine Bernhart died last night at 7 o’clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Anton Schmidt. She had been seriously ill for some time and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Bernhart had lived in Attica for many years and was widely known. Besides the daughter at whose home she died, there are two others, Mrs. Jacob Weinman and Mrs. Richard Reidlinger, and one son Jacob Bernhart. The funeral will be conducted at 9 o'clock on Saturday morning at the Catholic church. Mrs. Marlatt and Mrs. Anderson of Williamsport spent this afternoon with Mrs. Chan Houts. The Attica Hardware Co. is still in the hands of the receiver, C. A. Lyons, the recent sale of the stock to Arthur Tubbs having failed to be ap proved by the court. The receiver will again inaugurate an auction sale of the goods beginning on Saturday until the entire stock is disposed of.
