EDWARD SHEEHY BURIED.Imposing Funeral of One of Brockton'sSubstantial Men.BROCKTON. April 22.—The funeral of Edward Sheehy, a well-known shoe manufacturer of this city, occurred this afternoon.Mr. Sheehy was one of the most prominent Catholic Democrats in this city, and he was a charter member of Brockton Division No. 1. A. O. H. The remains were taken from his residence to the church, where, at 2:30, prayers were read by the Rev. Father E. L. McClure. An imposing funeral procession, composed of Divisions 1 and 5. A. O. H., and eighty members of the Emmet Club, of w'hich deceased was a member, followed the remains to their last resting place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.The pall bearers were Daniel J. Connelly, John Quane, Eugene J. Curtis. James Bavin, James G. Wales and Michael Lynch.The floral tributes were many and elegant.Mr. Sheehy leaves a wife and seven children, the oldest son being a member of the shoe firm of McCarthy, Sheehy Kendrick of this city. Requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
