The wife of William McFarland, who resides on the ocean beach some twenty five miles north of Gray’s Harbor, was severely wounded, the first of this week, by the accidental explosion of a metallic cartridge. She was handling it and dropped it, causing it to explode. The ball entered her wrist and ranged up the arm between the bones, coming out near the elbow. Dr. Johnson, of the Quinaielt lierserve, was called in to dress the wound, and the lady was doing well at last accounts.—Cornier.
