She has done wonderful things in offer-ing a splendid climatic inducement, but aside from recreation she has nothing to offer. South Texas has nearly failed in the opposite direction, by providing no recreational territory. Here we have not only splendid running streams, well supplied with game fish and a great fish hatchery, to replenish them, but also a natural game sanctuary, where deer and turkeys may be protected and conserved.Judge Wurzbaeh said that the trip to Kerrville was well repaid by this adfkej^. .which he referred to as “beautiful and sensible remarks ou thewell. balanced Paradise of Tex-baeh, Chairman Agricultural Committee San Antonio 0. of 0., Fred Mai ley, Agricultural Secretary, O. Grate, of the Orate Real Estate Company, on the subject of San Antonio’s Undiscovered Trade Territory. Mr. Orate is a ready speaker at any time, ami on this occasion he waxed eloquent in a forceful presentation of his subject. Ho had placed beforeqp a large map ot the hillcountry, showing Kerrville as the gateway to a vast playground. Nowhere in a like territory can so many streams of clear running water be found grding to Mr. Orate, as in this same hill country.Giving San Antonio full credit for being the mother of us all, upon which all this territory must depend, ami praising the big town for her assiduous use of the golden keyHe expressed regret that probably ninety per ceab of the canued goods displayed in the stores of this section of country, were not Texas-raised pro ducts, and that large quantities of eggs are annually shipped into Texas,County Agent J. 0. There are many things which enter into the determination of a question of this kiud. But in this particular case we could not get away from one outstanding fact- The infcertype is said to contain nearly two thousand fewer parte than the linotype. There are 010 fewer parts in the escapement from the magazine— if you know what that means. Having had some trainiug, as well as practical experience with machinery we know that elimination of parts, when it can be accomplished without decreasing the efficiency of the machine, is always desirable. Other considerations entered into our decision, but the matter is now settled. An iuterbype machine has been ordered, and within thirty days should be delivered and in operation in our shop.Fire at Stanley HomeThe fire department responded to a call at 11:40 Friday aud made a quick run to the Tom Stanley home on Sidney Baker street where the roof was blazing fiercely.
