After pleading guilty to a charge of failure to provide for his two mi nor children, Clarence Harrington of this town, who was arrested in Chi copee and brought back to Adams on Thursday afternoon for arraignment, Was sentenced to three months in the house of correction and had his sen tence suspended for six months by Judge Fred R. Shaw who occupied the bench in district court here yes terday afternoon. Harrington was arraigned yester day morning and pleaded guilty at that time, submitting a request to be allowed to make a statement. Judge Shaw declined to hear him at that time, however, and continued his case until yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, when the cases of the two children, charged with being neglect ed, were before juvenile court. The session ended late yesterday after noon when the suspended sentence was imposed and when the children were left in the care of Mrs. Sadie Goodermore, board of health nurse, until relatives come from Chicopee to furnish bond for their care. In ad dressing the court yesterday after noon, Harrington pleaded that he had been the victim of adversity and misfortune and asked to be given an other chance.
