Albert May is manager, and Homa Delameter Jr. clerk. In order to reduce stock in various lines, goods are being offered at greatly reduced prices. It is reported that Wankel and Barr, have sold out to J. Hume and A. Osborne The curling and skating being over for this season, baseball and lawn ten nis will soon be at the front again. Pro fessional baseball is a clear issue here this season. The paid players engaged last year were for the most part pro fessional boozers, and only occasionally were in a condition ‘to play ball. The general feeling seems that better require all round will be attained by encourag ing the home talent, we dont need to import men to curl or play hockey why should we import them to play ‘baseball We will have more amiement and better sport out of a purely local club It will give some ‘of our own young men a chance to develop and such a club will et all the support they deserve or acted on the community.
