Another lliot anion? the Students atCJiurlottville, Va.We learn from, the Baltimore and Richmond papers, that quite a bloody battle took place on Saturday night the llth inst., between the students nt Charlottvill’e, Va., and the showmen of Raymond fc Co.'s menagerie. The latter were endeavormg to clear the circle, but the students resisted. The elephant was then brought in by the keeper, but the students, exasperated by this, attacked the latter furiously. The showmen ran to hismssistnnce. and a general fight was the result, in which bludgeons were used. Some half dozen of the assailants were knocked down, and one of the number, of course an entirely innocent one, was killed, and they were driven off. They succeeded, however, m beating up a reinforcement, when the citizens interfered, and prevented a second attack.
