Charles Koecher dies at hospitalCharles “Duke” Koecher, 77, of 912 Adams St., died Tuesday at St. Mary’s Health Center following a lengthy illness.Mr. Koecher was born in Jefferson City on July 7, 1899, the son of Adam and Mary Meyers Koecher.He was a member of St. Peters Church and a retired employe of R. E. Natsch and Son Heating Inc.Survivors include: onebrother, Arthur Koecher, Columbia, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Hennel, Mrs. Al Kremer, and Mrs. John Phelps, all of Jefferson City.A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Dulle Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peters Church with the Rev. Kevin Gormley officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
