MARIE NEHRE HAYWOOD Marie Albertina Nehre daughter of Mr .and Mrs. Ernest Nehre was born in Batavia, Iowa, June 24, 1898 and grew to womanhood here where she graduated from the Batavia High School. Later she was a teacher in the school at Bonaport, Iowa, three years. Then she taught at arson two years. She was united in marriage June 24, 1920, which was her birthday, to Otho Haywood of Eldon, Iowa. To them were born one daughter Jean about seven months old, Mrs. Haywood passed away at the St. Joseph hospital at Ottumwa, Io wa, at nine o'clock Wednesday p. m., April 13, 1927 having only been per mitted to live 28 years 9 months and 19 days. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband Othy and one daughter Jean also her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nehre of Batavia, Iowa, two sisters Mrs. Ennis Sterner of Agency and Mrs. Ross Parrett of Patavia and two brothers Carl of Kirksville, Mo, and Fritz of Batavia, Ia. Mrs. Haywood Was a meber of the Pi Phi Sorority of Mt. Pleasant, Ia. She was also converted when a child and was a member of the Methodist church. She called her famly to her bed side and told them that she was pre pared and ready to go bidding them all good bye. She closed her eyes in peaceful sleep. It was also her desire that a good bye should be spoken to her friends at Batavia. Sn., upon the occasion of her funeral.
