Vestal Friday afternoon.The Thursday Club luncheon was given at the home of Mrs. Edgar Shepherd today, Thursday.The Washington Township Civics Club met at the home of Mrs. M. S. Glidewell Wednesday afternoon of last week with Mrs. Glidewell, Mrs. Byron Cox, and Mrs. Sanford Hamblen, as hostesses. Thirty-live ladies were present. A very interesting feature of the program was a debate—“Resolved, that women spend too much time with household duties/’ Mrs. Emma Huron and Mrs. Elma Tudor taking the aihr-mative, and Mrs. Almira Roller and Miss Mary Roark the negative. Refreshments of angel food white layer cake, and fruit salad were served.Mrs. J. C. Jamison and Miss Iva Inman will be hostesses to the Three Arts Department, Saturday afternoon, April 23. The program will consist of special music and a study of the poems of Guest, Maselield and Yeats.
