Channel Club Will Have Six Thousand Dollar Building Special to The Herald. ALAMITOS BAY, April 20.—The contract for the erection of the build ing of the new Channel club has been let and the ground already broken. The building is to cost six thousand dollars. A. ©. Parsons of Los Angeles is in a house boat for the season, George Dickinson, of Strong Dickinson, has moved down here with his family, C. M. Welch of Los Angeles has let the contract for the immediate erec tion of a residence on Bayfront and Avenue Nine. There is excellent fishing in the bay and ocean, and scores of people are ‘availing themselves of the opportunity. Mr. Welcome Curtis and wife have moved down from Los Angeles for the’ season. Mrs. Addison Dixon brought a party of lady friends down from the city yesterday morning to enjoy a day in the Dixon cottage. Several members of the party have decided to remain a week or more.
