Hays Gee, brother to Xen, who clerked at Goodlett’s confectionery some years ago, was acquitted of the charge of murder in the Indian Terri tory last week. Hays is a seventeen-year-old boy, whose father runs a hotel at Stroud. One night last year the old man con ducted a drunken guest to his room, when the fellow knocked him down, and commenced beating him up. Hays hearing his father’s cries for help ran downstairs, pistol in hand, and the drunken man got up and made for him, uttering all kinds of threats. The boy fired, the bullet striking the man between the eyes.
