N. V. Brothers ran on an independent ticket for alderman in this ward and received enough votes to cause „ Mr. Harrington’s defeat. The vote for alderman in the Third ward resulted as follows: O. S. Cook, republican, 77* Wood Harrington, peoples, 72; N. V. Brothers, independent, 21.In the First ward F. D. Campbell, republican* beat Thomas Grogan, independent, by a vote of 63 to 55.The republican candidates for board of education were all elected and are as follows: First ward, E.Jjputcher; Second ward, L. W. Crofoot; Third ward, Albert Stratton; Fourth ward, Robert Moody; at large, A. F. Milligan. Ira Barnes was elected?§he board of educationthere being no opposing candidate.
