■ ■ —French Corral.—The black woman whosehouse was torn down lately, was brought before Justice Caswell fbt* misdemeanor in tearing away a notice of a Constable’s sale which had been posted on the tenement before its destruction. She g.'Vve bonds in the sum of §150 to appear and answer. When the day of trial came her counsel objected to the jury subpenaed by Constable Bruce, who brought the complaint, and Constable Edwards subpenaed twenty-four San Juan-ers. The woman did not make hei* appearance after all, preferring to forfeit her bonds —and thus ends this tempest in a teapot.
