In a field of eight recently, Gardner high school thinclads finished a strong second. Host Garnett won the contest with 90 points, GHS had 69 and one third. Moran, Burlington, Prairie View, Yates Center, Central Heights and De Soto completed the field respectively. Relay events proved the Trailblazers strong point. They swept all four team events and in the process broke two Gardner school records.
