CLAUDE ABBOTTFuneral services were conducted yesterday evening for Claude Abbott, 09, of 14921 Hoyne avenue, Harvey. Mr. Abbott died suddenly Sunday morning.Burial will be this morning at 9:30 o’clock at Mount Glenwoodcemetery.Rev. David A. Blake, dr., pastor of Shaffer Chapel AME church, officiated at the services. Funeral arrangements were by Hammond and Pro-well.A resident of Harvey for 50 years, Mr. Abbott was born May 23,1902, in Douglas, Ga. An employee of the City of Harvey’s Water department, he was a member of Silver SquareMasonic Lodge.Mr. Abbott is survived by hisw ife, Viola; four sons, Felton of Harvey, Albert of Chicago, James and Joseph, both of Harvey; a sister, Mrs. Anna M. Long of Phoenix; a brother, Joe Abbott of Phoenix, 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
