Funeral arrangements are pending with Mahoney's Funeral Home for James Frederick Gross who lived 30 miles east of Carlsbad and was a former Deaving resident. Gross passed away Tuesday p.m. at Seely Hospital, Galveston, Texas, from burns received in an acci dent at Carlstiad. Born Aug. 20, 1934 in Mesa, Arizona, Gross’ was a graduate of Austin High School in El Paso and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was formerly employed by the El Paso Natural Gas Co. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn P. Gross; three daughters, Jeannie L. Gross, Jo Lynn Gross and Lee Ann Gross, all of Carlsbad; his mother, Joe L. Haan of Scots dale, Ariz; and a sister, Dorothy Kenney of Phoenix, Ariz,
