LINEVILLE — Funeral services were held for A. L. Pettus, 37, on Easter afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Lineville where he was a member. Mr. Pettus died at his home Fri day afternoon following a heart at tack. He was engaged in the Insurance business with the State Farm In surance Company at the time of his death. He had previously been a rural mail carrier at Puriton and Agriculture teacher at Bund ridge, Ala. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Boy Scout Leader in Lineville. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Smith Pettus, two sons, Bobby and Mike, his mother, Mrs. A. L. Pettus, Sr., Pyriton, and two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Tinney, Bir mingham and Mrs. S. R. Phillips, Talladega. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. John Weathers and the Rev. Cecil Little. Burial was in the City Cemetery. Blair Funeral Home was in charge.
