Edward Maxwell, of Fulton town ship was recently convicted of selling liquor and sentenced to one year on the penal farm, and to pay a fine of $300 and costs of $88.53. Mr. Max well owned a small farm and swore stock, but had no relatives, and lan guished in jail for several days be fore friends, came to his rescue. Fin ally, Luther A. Clingan well known Kingman stockman, furnished bond for Mr. Maxwell's release until he could arrange to pay the fine and costs, and the penal farm sentence was suspended during good behavior.
