Miss Elsie Blume intends to leave this week for Chicago where she will locate. Miss Blume resigned as teacher in the St. Peter Evangelical Sunday school, Sunday and will be greatly missed in the church where she has been active in Sunday school work and that of the Young People’s society. Mrs. George Laughlin and daughter Miss Mildred Laughlin of Golden were Quincy shoppers Monday. Miss Grace Stuckey, general secre tary of the local Young Women's Christian association but returned to Cincinnati. Miss Stuckey expects to return to Quincy to take up her work here about May 10. Wiskitchen—Undertaker. Mrs. M. H. Ball of Philadelphia, Mo., was a Quincy shopper Monday. Mrs. Herman Wielage and son Vir gil of Chicago have arrived in this city to visit Mrs. Wielage’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Barney Walford of 418 Maine street. Joseph Weiler is ill in his home 1610 Vermont street. Mrs. Lafe Lockbee has as her guest Miss Ethel Scott of Vorhees, Iowa. Herman Brown has gone to New York on a business trip. Barney Terwell of Ellington is ser iously ill in St. Mary hospital from neuritis. Miss Bernice Kennard of 322 North Sixth street left Saturday for Jackson, Mich., where she has accepted a posi tion. G. E. Rice and A. F. Fesler of Quin cy enlisted at the local Navy recruit ing station for training in the Electrical school, Hampton Roads, Va. Golden Rule lodge, Daughters of Re bekah, will hold a whist and dance in the Odd Fellows Hall Wednesday. A committee met Monday night and made arrangements for the event.
