A YOUNG MAN KILLED WHILE TOY-INO WITH A REVOLVER.The careless toyiug with a revolver caused the instant death of a young man iu a disreputable house kept by Susan Ellis, at 325 North Niutb street, Philadelphia, Sunday afternoon. It seems that he had sought the apartment of one of the female inmates, and having taken a small four* barrel led revolver from his pocket was handling it with a degree of freedom which provoked the woman to protest. lie laughed at her fears, and placing the muzzle of the weapon to his mouth made the playful remark,44 Why, I eat these things.” He had uo sooner uttered this boast thau the instrument was discharged, it being oue of the kind v**ry readily tired otf, and considered highly dangerous. He fell to the (loor and died instantly. From pa. pers fouud upon the body the deceased is believed to be Thomas C. Brvan, his age 28 years. A return ticket to Vincenttowu, N. J., was fouud and $135 in money, which was giveu to the corouer’s undertaker.— Ho also had a certiticate from the Guarantee Safe Deposit aud Trust Company, showing that on Saturday ho had deposited $300 in that institution.
