Band and Chorus ConcertThe Huntley High School band, chorus and girl’s chorus each took Division Two ratings at the state organization contest on Saturday, April 14th. It was held at Belvedere High School in Bfelvidere.There are four possible ratings a group could get: Division One, Two, Three or Four. The bands and choruses were rated on various items. Each item was given one, two, three or four points; one being tihe highest and four being the lowest. The points were totaled and this decided hte division rating. Eight to twelve points qualified for a division One rating. Thir-ten to eigh teen points decided a division Two rating. Nineteen to twentyfour points decided a Threerating. Twenty five to thirty-two points gave the group a division Four rating. Comments were givenif a necessary. There were three judges deciding the ratings.The first Huntley group to per form was the Girl’s Chorus. Their first number was “Weep O Mine Eyes,” by John Wilbye. Their second number was “Looks Like Spring is Mojo.” by H. Simeone.The second Huntley group to per form was the Mixed Chorus. Their first number was “Brother James ir,” by CL Jacob. Their final selection was “Ci lit1 Nacht, by J. Brahams.The band performed and played the selection “March Lamar” by Clifton Williams. Ihcy played “Fes-tina’’ by Dr. Frank BencrLscutto. Their finet selection was “Montage,” by John Tatgenshorst.
