• *^urlew Basketball Teams Honored ByTheir Townsmen!■ A banquet was given in honor * 6f the Curlew boys’ and girls’ I basketball squads, cheerleaders, r coach, and teachers in the dining I' hall of the Curlew school Thurs- 1 day evenipg. 1' Coach Clinton Lawver intro-duced Coach Deraid Enderson of Mallard, who talked bn “These Thirty Things,’’ in which Mr. Enderson outlined the finer attributes of coach and team relations ih the school and community He emphasized such qualities as poise, team work, respect of training rules, promptness, etc. j Mr. Lawver made the various awards. Jeanette Snavely and Robert Turner received the basketball free-throw awards; Peggy Johnson and Aimed a Bohn, cheerleaders awards; Evelyn Brtchler and Ronald Stoltz, stu-| dent manager letters; Vonnie Oldsberg, Virginia Buhl and Charlene Martin, letters in basketball; jimmy Lowman, Larry Gaddis and Willard Hesenius, letters in basketball; Betty Lawver and Galen Claberg, senior letters in basketball; Beverly Hynes, Joan Stacy and Janice King, basketball medals; Margie Kunz, Donna Jolliffe, Harlan Myer and Patricia Gates, chevrons.Following the banquet a social hour in the gym was enjoyed.
