PAGE TWO THE DAILY ARDMOREITE, ARDMORE, OKLAHOMA SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 1042 Large Audience Is Expected in Gilbert Auditorium Tuesday Sponsored by the P. T. A. council and with the Carter county and Ard more war savings stamp and bond committee as co-sponsor, the East Central State college band will be presented in special concert in Ard more at the Gilbert auditorium at 8 p. m. on Tuesday, April 21. Admission to hear the concert will be possible to all who buy war savings stamps at the box office—a 25-cent stamp will admit an adult and a 10- cent stamp a child. However, it was stressed there is no limit to the num ber of stamps that the patron may buy. He keeps the stamp for him self, i was explained. The band, 36 ° pieces strong with Harle E. McCall as director is making a tour for the benefit of the war sav ing a stamp program and the Ardmore engagement is one of a series of ap pearances it is making. A special vocal ensemble will be a feature of the program and the Victory trio, listed as the “cute” element of the evening, will be featured. Composed of Dena Vaye Lynn, Margaret Ronald and Joe Helen Burleson, the trio, uni formed and drilled, will offer a novelty specialty that is expected to delight the audience. Soloists with the band will be fea tured including McCall who is a cor netist. Lawson Jones will be pianist for the special artists in the group. The committee and the P. T. A. are urging that a capacity audience be on hand to enjoy this fine program and at the same time to boost the “victory stamp and bond” drive for April being pushed by the committee. Harle E. McCall
