5S. A. WALDRON SLASHED HIS WIFE'S BOSOM WITH RAZOR 8. A. Waldron, who the police say in a dissolute character, was arrest ed by Police Clerk Easton and lodged in jail this morning charged with attempting to kill his wife. Waldron called at the home of his wife's parents, S18 Seventh avenue south, at about § o'clock this morn ing and after a few words with her drew a rasor and infiicted a deep slashing cut over her heart. If the cut had been much deeper it would have resulted fatally. Waldron was afterwards found in a saloon in the lower part of the city. A bottle of carbolic acid was found in the house where the assault oc curred, showing that Waldron's evi dent intention was to take his own life. It is said that Waldron has not supported his wife for the past few months and has been abusive to wards her, causing her to leave him and seek refuge with her parents. He is a brother of Pearl Waldron, who committed suicide on Grant street bridge some time ago because of her strange infatuation for Nell Pickerell, the notorious male imper sonator.
