J r *Mary Kite Foltz, daughter of John and Eva R ite and widow of Noah Foltz, was born August 22, 1822, and died April 2, 1904; aged 81 years, 7 mouths, and 10 da}'. She was a good aud pious mother, a noble and obliging neighbor, and was held in high esteem by all who kuow her. For a great many years previous to her death she was almost blind, but bore hot sad affliction with great patience and expressed herself as being ready aud willing to die. She was the second child of a family of eleven children—six of whom with nine of her own survive her to mourn her death. After a suitable service for the occasion which was held in St. Paul’s (Lutheran) brick church her remaius were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.Ah ! sister, thou hast left us and gone, And we our loss do mourn,Let us strive hard to trust our God By wending the ways he hath trod.G. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom are dead ; tweuty-two grandchildren, two of whom are dead, and 18 survive.
