M.The excitement in regard to the silver and gold mines in this region, is unabated. Hundreds are pouring in from all parts of California. Scarcely a company who are prospecting have faded in striking rich ore, vs'heie they anticipated to had it. The mineral region extends for one hundred miles in every direct*on, and rich discoveries have been made over a hundred miles up the Humboldt. The Spanish claims situa ed where the mines were lirst opened, were yielding £20,000 per day. Ground is changing hands nt from twenty to two hundred dollars per tout.The Mono Lake and Walker River country is rich in minerals, and hundred* are prospecting that region, - generally with good success Ore is now being shipped to San Francsco for smelting from tire-different companies.
