To the Editor:I have been reading about the war in Iraq. It really upsets me when I hear about things that the Iraqi people are doing to their own people, but it makes me realize how lucky I am to be living in the Unites States. The way Saddam Hussein has been treating his people reminds me of WWII and the Holocaust. When Adolph Hitler was put into power, he changed the whole government. He took away people’s freedom of speech, freedom of press, and the right to gather in groups to protest. He prohibited the Jews from socializing with Germans. They weren't allowed to go to the same schools, and Jewish children weren't even allowed to play with German people. He soon made a lot of the Germans feel the same hatred towards the Jewish people as he did, and they began to kill millions of Jewish and non-Jewish people. Adolph Hitler and Saddam Hussein are alike. Saddam Hussein has taken away his own people's freedom, and treats them with great disrespect. I wish that everybody could have the chance to live just like I do in the United States where I have plenty of freedom.Thank you for taking your time to listen to my opinion.Jocelyn Coo DMS-8th Grade
