WAVELAND — Hancock County Civil Defense author ities late Sunday called off a search for Cary Landry, a 27-year old New Orleans attorney who was knocked into the Mississippi Sound in front of the Waveland beach late Saturday night. Authorities were searching for Landry when the search was called off because of the threat of bad weather. — Landry, who could not swim, was knocked from a 60-foot catamaran when a cable line broke. Robert De Blanc, 21, who owned the boat, jumped in the water to try to save Landry but was unsuccessful.
