Winthrop - Funeral services for Mr. Floyd William Arquiett, 72, Winthrop- Massena Road, who died Tuesday, April 10, 1973 in the Massena Memorial Hospital, were held Friday, April 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Brasher Falls, with the Rev. Louis Gardner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Mr. Arquiett had been a patient at the hospital for one and one half days and had been hospitalized in February for three weeks. Mr. Arquiett is survived by two brothers, Glen, Winthrop, and Robert, Massena-Winthrop Road; six sisters, Mrs. William (Blanche C.) Francis, Massena-Winthrop Road, with whom Mr. Arquiett had lived for the last five years, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Supernault, Brushton, Mrs. Robert (Mae) Pelton, Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Micheleonick and Mrs. Edmond (Annabelle) Lavoie, all of Claremont, N. H., Mrs. Roy (Jean) Allen, Bradenton, Fla., nieces and nephews. Mr. Arquiett was born in Malone Nov. 6, 1900, son of William and Victoria Badore Arquiett. He attended schools in North Lawrence and married Clara Long Aug. 14, 1924. She died 18 years ago. During his married life, Mr. Arquiett lived in Fulton, moving to Brushton after his wife’s death. Schenectady — Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Campbell Durham, 65, a Potsdam native, and her daughter, Mrs. Adele LaPoint Powell, 41, who were killed Sunday, March 25, 1973 when their car collided with a pickup truck on Mariaville Road in Rotterdam, were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28 at the Daly Funeral Home in Schenectady and at 10 a.m. at St. Columba’s Church. Burial will be in Memory’s Garden, Colonie. Mrs. Durham resided at 1016 Stanley Street and Mrs. Powell at 459 Hulett St., Schenectady. The driver of the pickup truck, Roy J. Fendly, 28, of 12 Harrison Avenue, Amsterdam, told police he was going west on Marinville Road at about 10:32 a.m. when the car driven by Mrs. Durham pulled into his path from Putnam Road. Mr. Fendly suffered minor injuries and Mrs. Durham’s grandson, Edward Karl, 16, of RD 1 Esperance, was treated at Ellis Hospital Schenectady, for a fractured collarbone. Mrs. Durham was born in Potsdam and had lived in Schenectady for 27 years. She was employed as a cook at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna. Mrs. Powell, also from Potsdam, lived in Watertown before moving to Schenectady nine years ago. Both women were communicants of St. Columba’s Church. Surviving Mrs. Durham are her husband, Carmen Durham; six other daughters, Mrs. Harold Peabody, and Mrs. Frederick Hoyt, both of Schenectady, Mrs. Edward Earl of Esperance, Mrs. Norbert Keifer of Syracuse, Mrs. Lorraine Powell and Mrs. James Bennett of Buena Vista, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret DeRonde of Colonie and Mrs. Gail Mason of Schenectady; 35 grand children and 15 great grandchildren. Mrs. Powell is survived, in addition to her sisters, by her husband, Robert Powell; five sons, Robert, Scott, Mark, Gregg and Chris; four daughters, Barbara, Robin, Anna, Christal, all at home.
