Fort Sam Houston, Tex. — Army Pfc Clayton W. Atwood, 18, son of Mr and Mrs. George Atwood. 1406 E. Ninth st. Beardstown, D1, re cently began the second phase of six months active military train ing under the Reserve Forces Act program at Fort Sam Houston, Tex. Atwood is receiving eight weeks Brooke Army Medical Center which will be followed by six weeks of advanced unit training. He attended Beardstown high school.
