Improvements In Progress At Country ClubInterested onlookers have been smiling the past few days to see construction on the swimming pool at the Statesville Country Club proceed m fashion.Measuring eighty by thirty feet the concrete pool is being constructed m front of the club veranda facing the East It was estimated by one construction official that work would be completed sometime in JuneNotable improvements have been made on the golf links in recent weeks, chief of which is the soddinp of the sixth fairwav It is expected 'hat the newlv laid-out fifth hoi* par three), will be ready for play in the near future.Under the new plan, as announced by club professional and greens-keeper Pat Denofrio, the first green will be used as the ninth hole Golfers will tee off on the 462 yard second hole in the future for their first hole and so on. The only change in hole design will take place on what is now the sixth hole, which will be divided into a par three and par four holes. The mew par three fifth will compen sate for the loss of the presentfirst hole, currently under construction for a swimming pool
