One day last week Ed Vesley who resides on a farm northeast of Holbrook had one of his limbs fractured in two places while he was moving a water tank away from the barn. Hehooked a block and tackle on a rafter in the barn, and then on the tank, and while he was pulling on the rope, the wire on the rafter broke, and the block and tackle dropped and broke his leg. He was taken to an Iowa City Hospital where the fracture was adjusted, and it is too bad that Mr. Vesley is laid up in his home when the farm work is just beginning.
