HE AROSE AGAINThe Savior came from heaven to i J earth; Was born of the virgin, a lowly birth., He healed the sick and lame by the way,And He taught His disciples how they should pray.He brake the bread and blessed the wine; His blood He shed for your sins and mine. And never murmured, nor a harsh word said.He was nailed to the tree, they pierced his side;He said “It is finished, and then He ;But all these things would have been in vain.Had He from the tomb not risen again. We are rid of the fellow, His enemies thought,His troubling us to an end has beenbrought. .... ^He's in a sealed tomb and night andday .Soldiers guard Him from those who would steal Him away.Yes, He's in the tomb and the stone s at the door,And He’ll never trouble us anymore.“It won’t be long, they may have said“Till He’ll be forgotten like theother dead.”But all heir thoughts proved to be In vair.f ,For on the third day He arose again. The critics now say that He didn’tariseFrom the tomb the third day and ascend to the skies. They say that such preaching is nothing but stuff,And that such Bible doctrines are only a bluff. They say that the preachers who preach this is true Are hardly accountable for what they do.They say they’re unlearned and behind in this day,And still are traveling the old fashioned way.But those critics are playing a losing game,For in spite of their teachings He arose just the same!^—ZEB H.
