Gustave Bubenzer, a German farm er is reported to be in a critical con dition occasioned by wounds inflict ed by a tobacco knife in the hands of Marion Sargent, a merchant in Martin county. _ It is claimed that the German was making uncomplimentary remarks about the United States when Ser gant remonstrated. Bubenzer in fomed him that he would say what he pleased in any language he pleas ed, thus the tobacco knife was brought to play.
