Judith Ann DeWittJudith Ann DeWitt, age 81, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her home in rural Rhinelander, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 6, 1939 at her Aunt Irene's home in Green Bay, to Joseph Walter and Magdelina Louisa (Kryzanek) Kasperek. Judy grew up on the family farm near Black Creek and graduated from Seymour High School in 1957. Following graduation she worked summers in Northern Wisconsin at Froelich's Sayner Lodge where she met the love of her life, Theodore (Ted) John DeWitt. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on Saturday Oct. 25,1958 at St. Mary's Church in Black Creek. God blessed them with over 61 years of marriage. They lived in Milwaukee, Antigo, and Merrill before making Rhinelanderhome for more than 50 years. It was in Rhinelander that she and Ted owned and operated DeWitt Electric which continues to this day.The daughter of dairy farmers, Judy excelled in growing her garden. To her family, whom she loved dearly, shetaught the value of prayer, gratitude, hard work and livingexpectedof you, which lives on in all of us.The daughter of Polish immigrants she loved to polka, frequenting many dances throughout Wisconsin. It was common for Ted and Judy to roll up the living room rug for their morning dance. She is a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church in Rhinelander.Judy is survived by her husband Ted; two sons Terrence of Rhinelander and David (Patti) of Fond du Lac; three daughters Beth (Patrick Palma) of Washburn, Michelle (James Schuetz) of Hazel Green, and Karen (Paul Marquardt) of Rhinelander; one brother Byron (Kathy) Kasperek of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters Donna (Bruce Buttles) of Waupaca, and Lori (Roger Swenson) of Wausau; eight grandchildren, Nina (Ben) Jensen of Altoona, Alex Palma of Jersey City, N.J., Zachary (Valeria) Palma of Bisbee, Arizona, Joel DeWitt of Denver, Colo., Aaron DeWitt of Fond du Lac, Nathan Schuetz of Dubuque, Iowa; Isaac (Camille) Schuetz of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Noah Schuetz of Hazel Green; one great-grandchild Arisha Palma; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Ronald and Gre-gory.mitosc zyje dalej -Love lives onDue to the present situation the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held later this summer.Judy will be laid to rest at this time in the Sayner Cemetery.
