Randall R. Lewis was elected president of the Farmingiile Parent Teachers Club at the meetin Thursday night at Shel bo Street School. Others elect ed were Daniel Ko Alexander, vice president, Herman F. Clark, secretar and Stanley R. Sumner, treasurer, Burton Lebo, Augusta, of the Kennebec Valley YMCA, was guest speaker by discussed the new services being offered by the YMCA, such as family camping, funda sleep outs, day camps, YMCA Camp for older boys, adult recreation facilities and plans for an in teresting and stimulating future for all people, old and young, in the Kennebec Valley area. He described the new facilities as one of the best and most mod ern in all New England. Mrs. Doris Neite’s room won the banner for highest attenda nce. It was announced that Linda Gurley, grade Ave, from Mrs. Galego's room, won a $50 sav ings bond in a poster contest about environment, sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture soil conservation program. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gurley, Hallo well road, Farmingdale. Additional workers assisting with the house to house canvass for the Nancy Nason fund are Mrs. Charles Taylor, Mrs. Mil ton Bradford, Mrs. Ernest ‘Bracy, Mrs. Walter Ladd, Mrs. Robert Cushman, Mrs. Richard Dumaine, Mrs. Thomas Christain, Mrs. Tilbert Gyorgy, Mrs. John Nichols, Mrs. John Lord, Mrs. Calvin Boynton, Mrs. Robert Melaughlin Mrs. Sylvia Hewett and Mrs. Carrie Pollis. There will be a project meet ing for Senior Citizens Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Community House. Those plann ing to attend are to take boxed f lunches, beverages will be pro vided. Sewing project chairman ,Mrs. Fred Piper asks members io take patchwork pieces for the work session. Activities for the men will include preparation for a cribbage tournament under the direction of Herman Red mond. Mrs. Carl Wiebe of Stratford, Conn., was among the guests attending the surprise pink and blue shower given for her daughter-in-law Mrs. Marshall Wiebe, Wednesday might. Mrs. Wiebe’s name was inadvertently omitted from the guest list of the shower writeup Thursday. Rabies’ clinic Local residents are reminded of the area rabies clinic at the Augusta Armory this afternoon from 1 to 5:30. A donation of $2 per animal is asked. Nasson forty-five selections from the George Binet Print Collection, depicting the work of the nine teenth century masters, will be on exhibition at the Nasson College Anderson Learning Cen ter Gallery through May 2.
