Sweden will send her large supplies of food, machinery, agricultural equipment. and other goods needed for the country's rehabilitation. The Swedish Government's credit will be for a period of years at, it is believed, a modest rate of interest.M. Sohlman. head of the Commercial Department of the Swedish Foreign Office, in announcing in Stockholm the signature of the pact, said the Norwegian G vemmenl had :lready placed orders approximating 50 million Swedish Kronor (about £3,000 000 sterling) with Swedish firms for delivery after the liberation of the country. M. Sohlman said the credits would come from the 100 nlllion kroner which the Swedish Riksdag last autumn appropriated for postwar relief, but were not necessarily limited to that amount, ■ecause further appropriations might be made. Most of the orders so far placed concern foodstuffs.•'The Dutch have also placed orders with Sweden for delivery after theI war and contacts had been made with Belgians.— (A.A.P.)
