D. Waterman, for five years the operator of the St. Petersburg Beach bathing pavilion, to operate the local casino, is certain to prove a popular one.The retention of Mr. Waterman is in keeping with the Venice Company’s policy of obtaining the best qualified employees available to handle each of the manifold connections in the great organization. He is an experienced man in his work and will no doubt do much to further popularize the casino and Venice Beach among bathers of this and nearby communities.Mr. Waterman has the knack of providing the utmost in attractions to bathers. He will arrange a series of contests for the bathers and is expected to make provisions for canoes and boats of various types for use in the Venice waters.Venice Beach will soon be a great rendezvous for picnickers. Already large crowds daily come to the beach and on Sundays the numbers rival many of the other West Coast beaches longer established. Immediate erection of a refreshment stand near the casino will beaffected. This stand will have a tile floor, its supporterss will be trunks of native palms and the roof will be thatched to give it a South Sea Island effect. Light lunches will be obtainable here, and there will be tables for use of picnickers. Venice Beach is open tothe general public. Life lines have been installed in the gulf for use and protection of bathers.Discuss questions involving your better welfare instead of arguing with them.
