WILLS AND BEQUESTS.The will, which bears date December 8,1895, of'Mr. Coventry Korsley Daighton Patmore, of Leamington, pooi and essayist, the author of u The Angel in the House/’ who died on November 23 last, aged 73 years, has been proved by has widow, Mrs. Harriet Georgina Patmoro ; Mr. Herbert William Usher, of Oxford, barrister-at-law ; Mr. Lister Maurice Drummond, oi the Temple, barrister-at-law: and Mr. Frederick Greenwood, of St. Leonards-on-Sea, to each of whom the testator bequeathed £50 : to bis nurse and housekeeper, Auu EUrdcastle, £200 ; to his sister, Mrs. Eliza Smith, and his nephew. Alfred Patmore, £100; to his nephew. Deighton Patmore, £50 ; to hi?; nieces, Edith and Ethel, £25 each ; to his son, Coventry Proctor Milues Patmore, £100, and his house, No. 66, Churdwoad, St. Leonavd’s-on-Sca; to his sou, Tennyson Deighton Patmore, £100, and the house, No. '67, Church-road, St. Leonards -on- Sea ; and to his daughter, Gertrude Laura, wifo of Augustus Watts, £200; and upon trust, for herbenefit, and the benefit of her husband and children, the proceeds of sale of the houses, Nos. 64 and 65, Cliurch-road, St. Leouards-on-fchc-Sea. ^ The testator bequeathed to Mrs. Patmore £1,000, his consumable Stores, his furniture, and his copyrights, stereotypeplates, and tbo unsold copies of his works. He left his one moiety of the tithes, or tithe rent-charge. ofBulmer, upon trust, to pay the income thereof to his non, Francis Joseph Mary Epiphanius Patmore, when25 years of age, and in the meantime to pay the income, for his benefit, to Mrs. Patmore. Mr. Patmore left the residue of his estate in trust as to ona-third share to pay the income to Mrs. Patmore during her widowhood,' and after her death or re-marriage to hold the share in trust for all the testator’s children. He left one other third share of his residuary ertate in trust for the benefit of his daughter, Bertha Georgina, and her issue, and he left the remaining one-third share in trust to pay the income to his son, Francis Joseph, when twenty-five years of age, and iu the meantime to pay the income to Mrs. Patmore for his benefit, and in tho event of his death without leaving children to hold his share iu trust for all tho testator's children. The trustees may invest upon the security of freehold or leasehold estate iu England only, and the personal estate left by Me. Patmore has been valued at £8.777 7s. lid.Judgment having beou pronounced on the 5th inst., in the action Hardman 1. Hardman, in favour of the force and validity of the will which bears dato Sept.17, 1596, of Mr. Josiah Hardman, of VVetley Abbey, Clmddteton, Staffordshire, and of Milton. Stoke-on-Trent, chemical manufacturer, who died on Oct. 2, 1898. leaving personal estate of the gross value of £28,07015s. 8d., and of the net valuo of £12,0745s. 6d., probate lias now been granted to tho executors.
