Bertha Deterding Dies Of Heart Attack In Home SundayBertha Wilamina Dane Deterding died suddenly, of a heart attack, at home ir. Elm a, Sunday, April 12, 1959.Funeral services were held in the home at 1:30 o’clock, and In St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Maple Leaf at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, with burial in St. Paul’s cemetery.Born March 13, 1883 In Tripoli, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Diet rich Loue, she came to Howard county in 1902.Married to Louis Deterding on May U, 1911, three children were born to this marriage, and survive her. They are; Mrs. Gerald Stevenson, Henry Deterding and Mrs. George Fountain, all of EJma.Mrs. Deterding attended Maple Leaf church, and the rural schools of Howard county. She was a member of the Maple Leaf Ladies Aid Society.
