Wage increases, ranging from $50 to $375, in seven municipal posi tions ,were established Tuesday night when the Matawan Borough Council adopted a salary ordinance despite the objections of a lone resident, Michael, Kidzus, Ravine’ Dr. The ordinance does not in cludes members of the police de partment. Under the terms of a fee wages of the borough are increased from $2125 to $2500; water rent collector, from $1475 to $1800; borough treasuer, from $1600 to $1600; tax collector, from $2150 to $2200; assessor $1450 to $1500; magistrate $1350 to $1500, ead water as a treasurer, from $520 to $300 Other salaries established under the bill are election clerk. $100; sewer rent collector, $500; water (continued on page two)
