Two deaths have resulte Culbert family at Rossendale, as a result of the explosion of fumes from gasoline, which Mrs. Archie, C. Culbert was using Friday to clean one of the children’s little coats. The baby girl, about two years of age, died shortly after the accident from shock and burns, while the mother died on Monday in the Portage la Prairie hospital. A boy, six years old, who also was injured, is expected to recover. Mrs. Culbert made valiant efforts to save her children immediately after the explosion, when the kit chen, where the accident happened, was filled with flame and smoke. She succeeded in getting the baby out of doors through the window, but was unable to locate the boy owing to the density of the smoke. What caused the gasoline or its umes to ignite is unknown.
