Richard Deshield,, 83 yearss old said to be the oldest sea captain in the British service, has just arrived at New York on a steamer which rescued him and hsi crew after they had drifted helplessly for nine days and were lithin one day of the end of their food supplies. Another in the long list of old men for action.
