Butts county feels great pridein the numerous noble young ladies and gentemen whom she has sent out of her borders tobless the world.We could mention among these noted preachers, physicians and teachers, who are now filling positions of honor and trust, not only in Georgia, but in other states and countries as well.Among these we take the libertyto mention an example that 4s being set by Cullen Thaxton.During September 1906, he was transferred from the Atlanta post office where he had served for six years, and w’here he had filled various positions to the entire satisfaction of the officials there and at Washington, to the Postal service in Panama. He isnow postmaster at Tabernilla, iabout mid way between the two!oceans, right on the Panama]Canal. .Besides keeping all the money jne neeus ior mmsen, he is senu-|ing to his father, Mr. D. J.
