DIDN’T STAY LONG-A Young Man Krom Uplmul Comes to Cl us City Only to lie Arrested.A young man named Nelson, from Upland, went to work at the Gas City pottery Friday, and was arrested Monday by Upland officers and taken back f to Upland, where his sins had found | him out. It seems that young Nelson ; had been making love to a young lady of J that town, jwid she—well, it is the same old story—loved not wisely but too well. Nelson, it seems, had promised to make her Mrs. -Nelson, and that’s what caused all the trouble. The girl was not to be fooled so eaBil however, and the minions of the red-eyed law were given a hand in the piny to see that Nelson did not renig. Further deponent sayeth not.
