The sand is transported to the location from the new sanitary land-fill section at Greenfield’s town dump. Scraper on ‘left: is smoothing out sand, assisting ‘earth movers if they get stuck. Dozer at far right In background is pushing stumps and tree trunk to be burned. The sand fill is hauled from the dump where contractor ‘Ted Ondrick Co. has authority to remove soil while constructing the new land- fill area.
