Captain Sehenken, EU- litt son, Ryan, Reinheimer, R, Rinard, ..McKean, Moothart, and Smith are the MVmly candidates who have ever before had any experience in competition. The candidates are so enthused over track that several spent nearly all of last Saturday fixing up a standard jumping and vaulting pit which is the best Marion has ever had. Also a cinder path for sprinters and starts will be made as quick as the cinders can be secured. The weather condition has hindered the Tcandidates from being as far advanc- *ed as they should be with only a few days that would permit them to take workouts out of doors. ni.e.eCoach Wicffenback has several vitations to track meets and it will all ^erc depend upon the showing his team will make at the Anamosa Invitation meet to be held April 24. •This meet is a large affair with al) the schools in this part of the state with an enrollment of under C»00 students allowed to compete. Last year Marion won this meet by a close margin from, Grant High of Cedar Rapids, and S*ve Anamosa.
