SEARCH FOR NEGROESMTLLEN, Ga„ April 14.—Deputies and posses are searching counties today for Louis Ruffin, negro and ethers said to have been implicated in agun fight yesterday in Jenkins County in which two officers and two negroes were killed. An automobile with several negro occupants was stopped near Carswell Grove by officers who were on the lookout for ; bootleggers. Joe Ruffin demanded ! the release of the negroes. In the shooting that followed, county policeman, W. C. Brown, night marshal, T. H. Stephens, white, and Edmund S Scott, John Halloway Ruffin, and two of his brothers, negroes, were killed.
